Center of Research and Design in Architecture (CoRDA), Deparment of Architecture at Epoka University and Office of Territorial Planning and Development at Commune of Petrela on December 27, 2013 signed a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation in the field of territorial development and planning the priority areas in the Commune of Petrela.
Department of Architecture, CoRDA, and Office of Territorial Planning and Development (ZPZHT), have agreed, on their common interest in the above mentioned development and research, to achieve a fruitful collaboration, which will be separated in two mayor phases and will specifically include: exchange of scientific information on territorial planning and urban design, exchange of data documented on the territory under study and consultancy provided by Department of Architecture and CoRDA on the PDV [detailed local planning plans] that have been elaborated by Office of Territorial Planning and Development or private subjects, for their final approval.
According to this agreement in the second phase Department of Architecture, CoRDA and Office of Territorial Planning and Development will decide all together on the Detailed Local Plans (PDV) to be further elaborated, referring to the priority areas defined in the General Local Plan (PPV).
The selected Detailed Local Plans will be subject of research in must and/or elective courses, whose syllabus [course description, aim and objective, and themes] are based on territorial planning and urban design. The final results will be revised by CoRDA, prior to delivering them to Office of Territorial Planning and Development (ZPZHT) and the elaborated Detailed Local Plans will be delivered by the end of the academic term.
